    Hi all i have a 09 racerunner comp with a 29cc cy engine and a samba pipe  i have put on 8000rpm spring a while a go, and i was out with it at the weekend and i took the shell and i touched the clutch bell and it was very very hot is this normal ?, i have now bought an elcon clutch and should i fit a vented clutch bell ?

    It's well known that the clutch does more work in a 4wd,so a vented clutch will help,but if you have good
    shell ventilation,windows out,then it's not a problem,even for the racers in 30min finals.

    thanks i do have all the windows cut out , the clutch should be here tomorrow so i will get it fitted and see how i get on

    I would be interested if anyone makes a vented clutch bell for the mcd,but dont know of one,so presume
    you would need to drill one out?

    I was thinking about maybe fitting an fg vented clutch bell ,I got the new clutch fitted and yes very good alot better than the normal clutch but it is still getting hot ,but being 4wd I would think it will all was get hot

    Let me know if you find a bell that fits,I mean Elcon do one,Stainless ideal with teflon,but it will be down to
    the shaft and the fittings of gears etc,the ultimate has a shaft that actually screws into the bell but the
    shaft is shorter tham my o8 comp,your in to experimental fitting territory there HH

    I have got the elcon clutch fitted and was running it yesterday and im very happy , but after 15 to 20 min of running it started to drag when I was pulling away and the more i used it the worse it got ,any body got any idears
